Fire/rescue and Hazmat crews answered a 9:06 a.m. alarm Thursday (Jan 26) for a crash between a car and dump truck on Highway 11 in Mountain View.

Firefighters found the dump truck engulfed in flames and a female trapped in the crashed car. Crews were able to free the woman using the jaws-of-life. Firefighters were delayed in putting out the truck fire as live electrical lines were on the ground.

Lions clubs WORLDWIDE will be performing community service projects as part of the “Lions In Sight” initiative Saturday, January 28, 2012 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. to raise public awareness of the vital role Lions clubs play in their communities.
 
As spring cleaning gets under way, the Hawaii Lions are asking people to look through dresser drawers & closets for used eyeglasses & hearing aids and donate them to the Lions Recycle For Sight program.
