Fire/rescue and Hazmat crews answered a 9:06 a.m. alarm Thursday (Jan 26) for a crash between a car and dump truck on Highway 11 in Mountain View.

Firefighters found the dump truck engulfed in flames and a woman trapped in the crashed car. Crews were able to free the woman using the jaws-of-life. Firefighters were delayed in putting out the truck fire as live electrical lines were on the ground.

State crews cleaned-up diesel fuel and oil spilled on the roadway during the crash which caused police to detour traffic around the scene for about three hours.

The loss in the crash and fire is estimated to be $100,000.
