The Aloha Exchange Club of East Hawai'i recognized Puna Patrol Officer Kenneth Ishii on Thursday (April 22) as "Officer of the Month" for April.

Ishii was honored for his investigation of juveniles in possession of stolen property in the Hawaiian Beaches subdivision in Puna. His efforts led to the discovery of four additional burglaries of vacant houses and the recovery of stolen items.
