Keaau man is 25th traffic fatality this year

A 31-year-old Keaʻau man died Friday morning (November 29) in a single utility tractor crash. He was identified as Troy K. Pattioay. About 11:33 a.m., Pattioay was operating a 1987 Kenworth Utility tractor pulling an unloaded lowboy trailer and traveling west on Daniel K. Inouye Highway, (New Saddle Road), just prior to the 51-mile marker.

Average gas prices rise 0.9 cents per gallon in Hawaii the past week

Average retail gasoline prices in Hawaii have risen 0.9 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.93/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 355 gas outlets in Hawaii. This compares with the national average that has fallen 1.4 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.25/g, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.
