Hawaii, December 2- Average retail gasoline prices in Hawaii have risen 0.9 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.93/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 355 gas outlets in Hawaii. This compares with the national average that has fallen 1.4 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.25/g, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.

Including the change in gas prices in Hawaii during the past week, prices yesterday were 7.8 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 14.5 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. The national average has decreased 1.3 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 14.2 cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago.

“With the Thanksgiving behind us it appears that a nominal decline in retail gasoline prices will ring in the first week of December for most parts of the country,” said GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Gregg Laskoski. “With the government’s report of healthy fuel inventories and U.S. refinery output reaching its highest level since early October, the savings at the pump is coming just in time,” Laskoski added.
