Police report Mamalahoa Highway (Hwy 11) in Kealakekua between Konawaena School Road and Keekee Street is now open to traffic in both directions. Fire crews and police are still on scene so motorists should drive with caution.

The structure fire appears to have been behind the Discovery Antique store next to Aloha China BBQ on the makai side of the highway.

Big Island police have arrested a second suspect in connection with a robbery January 12 at Keauhou Store in Hōlualoa. The suspect, 22-year-old James Kekai Hao of Kailua-Kona, was also arrested for a robbery January 5 at the Kaloko Business Center V in Kailua-Kona.
