The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a Wind Advisory for Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa through noon Monday (Jan 30). Winds from the East are forecast to reach speeds of 25-35 mph with gusts over 50 mph on elevations above 8,000 feet.

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a High Surf Advisory for the Kona coast until 6 p.m. Sunday (Jan 29). Surf is forecast to be eight to 12 feet in height and expected to gradually lower on Sunday. Beachgoers should use caution when in and near the ocean.
