Police warrants list for Friday, April 13, 2018

The listed individuals are wanted by the Hawaii Police Department because of outstanding warrants. Persons who know a warrant is out for their arrest are advised to report to the nearest police station to avoid having an officer go to their home or workplace to arrest them.

April is Distracted Driving Awareness month

The Hawaiʻi Police Department is letting drivers know that April is Distracted Driving Awareness month. Hawai’i Police Department officers are focusing on enforcing violations for the use of electronic devices while operating a vehicle. Driving while you are distracted greatly increases the risks of being involved in serious and possibly fatal crashes.

Names of police officer and woman in murder-suicide case released

Hawaiʻi Island police have identified the male and female found dead at a home in Mt. View on Sunday, (April 8), as 54-year-old Jolene-Rae K. Kapua-Allison and 50-year-old Christopher R. Kapua-Allison, a police officer with the Hawaiʻi Police Department.
