Flood advisory issued due to heavy rains North of Kailua-Kona

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a flood advisory for the Big Island until 7:30 p.m. Tuesay (July 22). At 6:12 p.m. weather radar showed slow moving heavy showers on th eKona slopes between Puuanahulu and Keahole Point. Other locations in the advisory include, but are not limited to, Kona Village Resort.

Flash Flood Warning for the Big Island has been extended

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has extended the Flash Flood Warning for the Big Island until 1:15 a.m. Monday (July 14). At 10:06 p.m. Sunday (July 13) weather radar showed a heavy shower 12 miles West of Volcano, or about 27 miles Southwest of Hilo, moving Southwest at 10 mph.

Flood advisory in effect for the Big Island due to heavy Kona rains

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a Flood Advisory for the Big Island until 12:15 a.m. Thursday (May 29). At 10:15 p.m. Wednesday weather radar showed rainfall diminishing along the Leeward coast of the Big Island between Kailua-Kona and Captain Cook, however runoff and ponding continues from earlier heavy rainfall.
