Hawaiʻi Island Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating Douglas K. Louis, a 38-year-old male who frequents Pahala in the District of Kaʻū. Louis is wanted for a Hawaiʻi Paroling Authority Warrant of Arrest. He is described as 5-foot-7, 170 pounds, and should be considered a danger if approached.

Big Island firefighters responded to a 6:07 p.m. alarm Friday (March 20) to a structure fire in Hawaiian Ocean View Estates.

Crews arrived to find a 30'x60' two-story home on fire near the intersection of Pineapple Parkway and Hukilau Drive. The house was burning on both floors on the front half facing Pineapple Parkway.
