Average gas prices in Hawaii fall 0.4 cents per gallon the past week

Average retail gasoline prices in Hawaii have fallen 0.4 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $4.37/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 355 gas outlets in Hawaii. This compares with the national average that has fallen 1.9 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.65/g, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.

This photo looks northeast and shows Puʻu ʻŌʻō crater. Recent activity has been focused around a few spatter cones on the crater floor. At the far edge of the crater, a small lava pond has been active and has been the source of flows extending northeast of Puʻu ʻŌʻō. Those flows are visible at the top-center of the photo.
