Detectives in Kona are investigating a robbery early Tuesday (February 2) on Ali’i Drive in Kailua-Kona. A 30-year-old man from Washington state reported that he was approached by four local males just after midnight while walking north on the sidewalk fronting Hulihe’e Palace. One of the men assaulted him and demanded money.

Big Island police have located the third suspect wanted for a robbery on December 23 at Prince Kuhio Plaza in Hilo. Daniel Jordan Mills, 19, was arrested Tuesday night (December 29) and charged Wednesday (December 30) with second-degree robbery and second-degree theft. He is being held at the Hilo police cellblock in lieu of $7,000.
