At about 12:30 a.m., South Hilo Patrol officers responded to a hold-up alarm at a service station on Kekuanaoa Street. A male suspect brandished a gun demanding money from the employee and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of currency. The employee did not sustain any injuries during the ordeal.

Big Island police have located 19-year-old Kale Thomas Ramangmou, who was wanted for robbery. Ramangmou was arrested Monday morning (May 7) and charged Tuesday (May 8) for numerous offenses in connection with three separate incidents.

Thanks to tips from the public, Big Island police have arrested one suspect in connection with a robbery last week in HÅlualoa. On Friday (January 13), detectives from the Area II Criminal Investigations Section located and recovered a white 1998 Jeep Wrangler Sahara associated with the January 12 Keauhou Store robbery.

Shortly before 1 p.m. a man described as a local male with a dark complexion entered the Keauhou Store in Holualoa and forcibly removed an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register. A 34-year-old female cashier suffered minor injuries but declined medical treatment.
