Douglas Vernon Don is described as 6-feet, weighing 135 pounds with a slim build, having green eyes and brown hair. He is known to frequent the lower Puna area and was last heard from on Friday,(December 23).

According to police, the theft occurred between Friday, (December 22), at 5:00 p.m., and Tuesday, (December 26), at 8:15 a.m. Suspect(s) entered onto the property at Kohala Plants nursery and stole the vehicle which was parked under a tent.

In observance of the 2017 Christmas season activities at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hilo, there will be a temporary one-way traffic pattern on Kapiʻolani Street. Traffic will be allowed only in the Puna, or southerly, direction on Kapiʻolani Street, between Waiānuenue Avenue and Haili Street during certain hours.
