Police warrants list for Friday, July 6, 2018

The listed individuals are wanted by the Hawaii Police Department because of outstanding warrants. Persons who know a warrant is out for their arrest are advised to report to the nearest police station to avoid having an officer go to their home or workplace to arrest them.

Pahoa Post Office

Pahoa Post Office resumes mail delivery on reopened roads

In response to the recent reopening of Pahoa-Kalapana Road (Route 130), the Pahoa Post Office today resumed mail delivery to customers residing on Highway 130 and in the Blacksands, Kalapana Shores, Kehena, Puna Palisades and Seaview subdivisions. Mail delivery to the above areas will continue as long as conditions permit.

Kilauea Eruption: Fissure 8 flow still very active Friday (July 6)

Hawaiian Volcano Observatory reports that Fissure 8 continues to be very active and is feeding a lava channel to the ocean at Kapoho. The flow is producing a broad ocean entry along the shoreline and continues to expand into Kapoho Beach Lots and the Four Corners intersection.

The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) advises the public of a single lane closure on Highway 11 between Piimauna Drive and the entrance to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park for pavement repairs.
