Sunday (July 24) 5 p.m. UPDATE: Flash Flood Watch is cancelled for Hawaii County

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has cancelled the Flash Flood Watch for Hawaii County.

At 6 a.m. Hawaii County Police report Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) at Kawa Flats is fully open to traffic.

A Brown Water Advisory has also been issued for Hawai’i County due to heavy rains. The public is advised to stay out of flood waters and storm water runoff due to possible contamination. If the water is brown, stay out.
