4:47 p.m. The Hawai’i Police Department reports that Mamalahoa Highway (Route 190) between the Makalei Golf Course Road and the Daniel K. Inouye Highway in North Kona is now open. The crash site has been cleared.

The Hawai’i Police Department reports a road closure of Mamalahoa Highway (Route 190), from the Makalei Golf Course Road in North Kona to the Daniel K. Inouye Highway due to a crash near the 22 mile marker.

This road closure is expected to last until about 3 p.m. while traffic investigators investigate this accident.
