Missing hiker in Puna is found after two nights in the forest

Fire/rescue crews responded to an 11:14 a.m. alarm Monday (March 18) to an overdue hiker in the Hawaiian Paradise Park area of Puna. The hiker, a 36-year-old man, was last seen by his father entering the forest area off 11th Avenue off Kaloli Drive at 10 a.m. on Saturday (March 16).

Three-year-old Hilo boy dies after being run over by pick-up truck

A 3-year-old Hilo boy died Friday (March 15) from injuries he received after being run over by a pick-up truck in the Eden Roc subdivision in Mountain View. The boy was identified as Treston S.C. Crowley, of a Hilo address.
