The Board of Directors of Kealakekua Ranch, as well as Meg and Nick Greenwell, have announce that after a lengthy search, Rhonda Kavanagh has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Kavanagh began in her new position Jan. 16.

Diane Quitiquit who has been serving temporarily in that position, will continue on a part- time basis through the end of January to help with the transition.

“The Board of Directors and the Greenwell family extend their sincere appreciation to Diane for postponing her retirement to guide the Company through a successful restructuring” Board Chair Lou Lambert said.

Kavanagh’s career began in finance and evolved to executive level leadership roles with broad spans of responsibility within high growth, entrepreneurial organizations and complex Fortune 500 enterprises. She has experience in industries ranging from manufacturing to investment and wealth management and brings strong leadership, strategic development, and financial expertise to the role.

Prior to joining KRL, Rhonda led strategic growth, sales, and service operations at an independent advisory firm serving a nation wide client base with assets under advisement of nearly $3 billion.

She also spent 12 years at Fortune 500 Fiserv, Inc. where she held various executive roles and led successful growth initiatives generating more than $150 million in annual revenues.

Most recently Rhonda served as Executive Vice President for an independent advisory firm with locations on the mainland and Kahului, Maui where she led strategic growth initiatives for Hawaii. She is a member of the Kona Historical Society, Rotary Club of Honolulu and the Pacific Club.
