Hydrant test in Hilo Tuesday (Aug 28)

AFFECTED AREA: CONSUMERS ALONG WEST KĀWILI STREET, BETWEEN PUAINAKO STREET AND KAPIOLANI STREET; ALONG WEST LANIKĀULA STREET BETWEEN MOHOULI STREET AND ULULANI STREET, INCLUDING NOE STREET, KALILI STREET, NOWELO STREET AND ALL SIDE STREETS, PLACES, ETC., SOUTH HILO, HAWAI‘I

The Department of Water Supply will be conducting a hydrant flow test at a hydrant along West Kāwili Street near the entrance to Hawai‘i Community College, on Tuesday, August 28, 2012, between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 Noon.

The affected area may experience slightly discolored and turbid water for several hours after the test. Customers are advised to refrain from washing clothes and to store a container of water for their drinking needs until the supply of water is restored to normal.

Please pardon this temporary inconvenience. Should you experience any unusual problems during or after the flushing period, please call Mr. Carl Nishimura, District Supervisor, at 961-8790.
