State of the Union 2011: Inouye, Akaka remarks

U.S. Sen. Daniel K. Inouye released the following statement following President Barack Obama’s State of the Union Address.

Inouye’s position as President Pro Tempore of the U.S. Senate required that he relocate away from the U.S. Capitol and view the address from an undisclosed location.

“It was a visionary message of hope. It was a strong declaration of unity and bi-partisanship. It was a good speech.”

U.S. Sen. Daniel K. Akaka issued the following statement:

“The President delivered a great State of the Union speech. I agree with the President it is our top opportunity and priority is to work together to create jobs and industry in our country. Instead of yelling at one another and “talking stink,” we need to work together to help our country. I hope if there is any good to come from the terrible tragedy in Arizona, it will be a renewed sense of working together.

“The President discussed responsibly ending the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. As you know I voted against the invasion of Iraq, and I am glad President Obama is fulfilling his commitment to responsibly bring our troops home from both wars. I will be on the Armed Services Committee again this year and I look forward to working with the President to bring our troops back to their families and end the massive spending on these two wars.”

Where wa this man watching the sppech from-the moon? Obama resorted back to his partisan jabs at times, and his theme is spending. Oh, I’Mm sorry..in vesting!! We are not deaf, dumb and blind. Obama is not speaking in a vaccuum. The bloom is off the rose, and everyone can see how inept, arrogant and destructive he is. Get rid of him!!!!
