A family of five is homeless after a Fern Forest home burned down Saturday afternoon.
No one was injured, and the family was not home when the fire was reported at 4:25 p.m. on Kokokahi Street.
Fire crews arrived to find the front of the post-and-pier structure partially collapsed, and later the structure completely collapsed.
A van in a garage tent also was scorched in the blaze, officials said.
The fire was out at 5:02 p.m.
Officials said the structure was not insured.
Investigators have not yet determined a cause for the blaze, and damage is estimated at about $10,000.
The Red Cross is assisting the family.
