May Day at Waimea Country School with a Lei Day Performance.
The entire student body performed the school chant Waimea Kula Kuaaina to begin the celebration.
The theme of this year’s show was “A Walk Through Ulu Laau†and honored the Waimea Nature Park and the native Hawaiian trees found there.
Kindergarten students performed ‘One Paddle, Two Paddle.’
Students in grades 2-6 perform Na Po, the Hawaiian moon chant.
