Unidentified woman...suspected of stealing a wallet

The Hawai’i Police Department has located and identified a woman wanted in connection with the theft of a wallet at a Hilo supermarket.

Police are grateful for the public’s help and ask that anyone with any more information on this case call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311 and ask for officer Gavin Kagimoto.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.

MEDIA RELEASE (7/10/09)

The Hawai’i Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman who took a wallet that was forgotten at a cash register at a Hilo supermarket. The wallet contained identification, credit cards and an undisclosed amount of cash.

The woman’s image was captured on tape.

Police ask that anyone with information about the woman’s identity call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311 and ask for Officer Joshua Dumont of the South Kohala District.
