Beat on the boards 50-28, the University of Hawaii at Hilo continues to struggle as Notre Dame de Namur University defeats the Vulcans 75-58 in a Pacific West Conference game in Belmont, Calif.

The Vulcans are 3-10 overall and 0-2 in the PacWest while the Argonauts are 5-7 overall and 1-0 in the PacWest.

The University of Hawaii at Hilo beat Brigham Young University-Hawaii 71-52 in a non-conference game in the Konawaena Gym in Kealakekua, Hawaii.

The Vulcans improved to 3-7 while the Seasiders are 3-5.

Hina Kimitete led the Vulcans with 20 points and seven assists. Kayce Kirihara and Hotia Vaaimamao added 10 each.

Guard Amanda Dunbar (Jr., Marysville/Marysville-Pilchuck) had a game-high 17 points and established a new school record for consecutive 3-pointers made, leading Western Washington University to an 80-46 triumph over University of Hawaii Hilo in a non-league women’s basketball game Thursday on Haggen Court at Sam Carver Gymnasium.

Forward Willow Cabe (Sr., McCleary/Elma) added 15 points and a game-high 11 rebounds for the Vikings, who remained undefeated at 5-0.

The Vulcans improve to 2-4 while the Silverswords are 0-2.
Hina Kimitete led the Vulcans with 20 points on 8 of 14 shooting from the field that included four 3-pointers.
Kayce Kirihara added 19 points while Natalie Mata had 17 and Sheena Pio had 12.
Amanda Muller had nine rebounds.

The University of Hawaii at Hilo went through another cold night in Anchorage, Alaska as a 26.3-percent shooting performance led to a 102-44 lashing by the University of Alaska Anchorage in the Wells Fargo Sports Complex.
The Vulcans are 0-2 while the Seawolves are 2-0.
Kirsty Imai led the Vulcans with 10 points.
The Vulcans were 15 of 57 from the field, 7 of 21 from 3-point range (.333) and 7 of 10 from the free throw line. They were also out-rebounded 54-22 while also committing 29 turnovers.

The University of Hawaii at Hilo got a wake up call from the University of Alaska-Anchorage as the Vulcans were shocked 100-48 by the Seawolves in the Wells Fargo Sports Complex in Anchorage.
The Vulcans are 0-1 while the Seawolves are 1-0.
Hina Kimitete led the Vulcans with 13 points while Kirsti Imai added 11.
The Vulcans were 13 of 44 from the field (.295) and 3 of 15 from 3-point range (.200) while committing 34 turnovers. The much taller Seawolves dominated the boards with a 42-16 rebound advantage.
