The Hawaii State Department of Health (DOH) has confirmed a new case of hepatitis A infection in a food service employee on Hawaii Island. The employee has a history of exposure on Oahu and worked at the fast food and catering restaurant, Sushi Shiono Waikoloa.

Service members are scheduled to convoy from PÅhakuloa Training Area (PTA) to Keaukaha Military Reservation, in Hilo, Tuesday and Wednesday. Oahu-based service members are scheduled to convoy from Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA) to Kawaihae Harbor, Tuesday and Wednesday. The anticipated convoy times are from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Hawaiʻi Island police are asking the public for help in identifying individuals or businesses who are responsible for the dumping of abandoned and derelict vehicles. Since January 1, approximately 280 abandoned or derelict vehicles have been reported in the Kona District alone, compared with 106 reported during the same period in 2015.
