The watch battery current interacting with nickel in the watch’s stainless steel back can cause skin irritation and/or burning sensations to children who are allergic to nickel. Pacific Tsunami Warning Center downgraded the tsunami warning to a watch. Beaches on the Big Island are closed Tuesday due to possible surges and unusual currents from the earthquake in Samoa. Beaches will re-open on Wednesday. Click above image to view surge video.
