The Hawaii State Department of Health (DOH) has confirmed a new case of hepatitis A infection in a food service employee on Hawaii Island. The employee has a history of exposure on Oahu and worked at the fast food and catering restaurant, Sushi Shiono Waikoloa.

Hawaiʻi Island police are searching for a 22-year-old Waikoloa man who is wanted on bench warrants. Luka Kekoa Mossman is wanted on three counts of contempt of court. He is also wanted for questioning in connection with several terroristic threatening cases. He is described as 5-foot-8, 185 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

An autopsy conducted Monday (October 12) has determined that a man found floating Sunday (October 11) in waters at Anaehoʻomalu Bay in Waikoloa died from a medical condition while swimming. He was identified through fingerprints as 49-year-old Jurgen Essig of Kirchheim unter Teck, Germany.
