As of 11 p.m. HST Saturday (July 23) the center of Darby was located about 55 miles (85 km) west of Kailua-Kona moving west-northwest at 10 mph (17 km/h).

The Central Pacific Hurricane Center has issued a Tropical Storm Warning for Hawaii Island and Maui County. The center of Darby is forecast to pass over Hawaii Island on Saturday then Maui Saturday night.
