According to the National Weather Service Ana may become a hurricane on Friday (Oct 17), slight weakening is expected on Saturday.

According to the Nationa Weather Service Tropical Storm Ana has maximum sustained winds of 60 mph and is forecast to gradually intensify into a Category One hurricane by Friday. A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for the Big Island.

According to the Nationa Weather Service Tropical Storm Ana is nearing hurricane strength and currently has recorded sustained winds near 65 mph at 11 p.m. Tuesday (Oct 14).
