As of 5 p.m. Sunday (Aug 23) Tropical Depression Kilo was located about 715 miles (1,150 km) southwest of Honolulu. The system is moving farther away from the main Hawaiian Islands.

The National weather Service is closely monitoring Tropical Depression Three-c located approximately 570 miles south-southeast of Hilo and moving west0northwest at 15 mph with maximum sustained winds at 35 mph.

The National Hurricane Center continues to track Tropical Depression Eight-e as it moves west across the Eastern Pacific. The 11 p.m. HST NHC forecast is for the system to diminish as it moves westward over cooler waters and drier air. The current maximum winds of 35 mph are expected to dissipate in 48 hours.
