Fire/rescue crews responded to an alarm shortly before 5 p.m. Wednesday (Oct 27) for a hiker in distress along the Alili Springs Trail in Ka‘u.

A hunting party of four had been in a forested area with three men in the group being able to hike out. A fourth member was unable to hike out due to dehydration and difficult location.
