Oahu-based military units will convoy from Pōhakuloa Training Area to Kawaihae Harbor on July 24 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. via Saddle Road, Mamalahoa Highway, Waikoloa Road, Queen Kaahumanu Highway and Kawaihae Road.

Fire/rescue crews responded to a 10:34 a.m. alarm Saturday (July 21) to about the 50 mile marker of Saddle Road for a two car crash.

Crews found both cars off the roadway with one vehicle engulfed in flames on the makai side of road. The car fire ignited the pastureland which burned about one acre of federal property before being put out by Pohakuloa Training Area fire crews.
