Hawai‘i Electric Light announces a scheduled power outage in Napo‘opo‘o and Ke‘ei on Thursday, June 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The outage will affect about 140 customers from Lower Napo‘opo‘o Road to Ke‘ei Beach. Crews will remove and replace a power pole on Lower Napo‘opo‘o Road.

Hawai‘i Electric Light has completed repairs to all major damage caused by a storm system that passed over the islands last Friday and Saturday. Late yesterday evening, crews restored power to the remaining 40 customers in portions of NÄnÄwale, Leilani Estates, and a few pocket outages in the Puna area.

Today, Hawai‘i Electric Light crews restored power to approximately 260 customers in portions of NÄnÄwale, Leilani Estates, and a few pocket outages in the Puna area. As of 4 p.m., an estimated 40 customers in these areas remain without power. Electric service for these customers is expected to be restored by tomorrow.
