Hawai‘i Electric Light announces a scheduled power outage in Napo‘opo‘o and Ke‘ei on Thursday, June 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The outage will affect about 140 customers from Lower Napo‘opo‘o Road to Ke‘ei Beach. Crews will remove and replace a power pole on Lower Napo‘opo‘o Road.

Hawaii Electric Light Company reported that at 10:20 a.m. Monday (July 13) about 1,420 customers were without power from Wainaku to Puueo Paku. HELCO has crews responding to the outage area and as of 10:40 a.m. has reported that about 1,065 customers have had their power restored.

About 355 HELCO customers remain without power as crews continue to work on restoration.

Late yesterday evening, crews restored power to the remaining 40 customers in portions of Nānāwale, Leilani Estates, and a few pocket outages in the Puna area.

Although all major highways and roadways are cleared and open, some subdivision roads may still have downed trees and power lines. HELCO and public works crews are working to restore power and to clear all major roadways. The public is reminded to treat all downed power lines as energized and to report power outages and downed lines to HELCO at 969-6666.

Hawai‘i Electric Light crews are working to safely restore service to customers who lost electricity as a result of windy conditions affecting Hawai‘i Island on Feb. 13 and 14.

Strong winds caused trees and branches to fall on and damage power lines and poles, primarily in the Puna area. Crews have been working since last night to restore service in Aloha Estates, Mountain View, Hawaiian Acres, Ainaloa, Orchidland, Hawaiian Paradise Park, Hawaiian Beaches, and Nanawale.

HELCO power restoration update for 4:15 p.m. Wednesday (Jan 7)

Hawai‘i Electric Light has completed repairs to all major damage caused by a storm system that passed over the islands late last week. At about 2:00 p.m. today, power was restored to the remaining 10 customers on Cane Haul Road (Honoka‘a) and in a remote area of Waipi‘o Valley.
