New visitor procedures at OCCC being implemented

Effective Wednesday, November 15, 2017, the Halawa Correctional Facility (HCF) is implementing changes to its “Searches of Visitors and Staff” policy. This is part of ongoing efforts to crack down on contraband entering the correctional system. The policy will also be enacted at the Oahu Community Correctional Center (OCCC) on November 22, 2017.

Partial power has been restored to sections of the Oahu Community Correctional Center (OCCC).  Electricity was restored to most areas of the facility by 1:30 p.m. Electrical contractors are continuing to work on a couple of sections that are still on the back-up generator.
