A 39-year-old man has been charged with trespassing and several drug offenses after a Neighborhood Watch member in Volcano and other area residents took action after observing suspicious activity.

The Kona Community Policing Section of the Hawai'i Police Department is holding two Neighborhood Watch meetings — one for North Kona and one for South Kona — for "active coordinators" and for persons interested in forming or joining a Neighborhood Watch. Both coordinators meetings will be approximately one hour long and will be followed by a methamphetamine presentation by a guest speaker.
