The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a red flag fire warning for Thursday noon to 6 p.m. (Nov 15) as they forecast strong winds and low relative humidty for Leeward areas. The affected areas are Ka‘u, Kona, Kohala and interior areas of the Big Island.

A Red Flag Fire Warning is in effect for Leewards areas of all Hawaiian Islands due to the low humidity and Northeast winds forecast to be 15-20 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. The warning is in effect from 10 a.m. this morning until 6 p.m. this evening Monday (Nov 28).
