Fire/rescue units responded to a 10:36 a.m. alarm Sunday (Sept 23) to Keokea Point in Keaukaha for two people swept into the ocean from the shoreline.

Witnesses reported that a man and boy were on the rocky shoreline off Keokea Loop when they were washed into the ocean by a sudden surge.

A 24-year-old Laupahoehoe man died Sunday (February 26) from injuries he received in a single motorcycle crash on Kalanianaole Street, 228 feet east of Koloa Street. 

The driver was identified as Dimitri I. Sheehan of a Laupahoehoe address.
