The County of Hawaii Department of Parks and Recreation is preparing an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Waimea Trails and Greenways project, Ke Ala Kahawai O Waimea in Waimea, Hawaii, and is conducting early consultation to solicit input from the community.  The EA is being prepared in accordance with both State of Hawai‘i Chapter 343, HRS and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) environmental guidelines and requirements.
