The two exit lanes leading out of the parking lot will be closed at about 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Mar. 12, 2019, and will reopen at 4 a.m. on Wednesday, Mar. 13, 2019 due to construction work.

The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT), Airports Division will begin resurfacing work and improvements at the Hilo International Airport Main Parking Lot, on Monday, March 5, 2018, through Friday, March 9, 2018, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., daily. The Hawaii Department of Transportation advises Hilo and Keaukaha residents of an expected increase in aircraft traffic over the area due to airfield maintenance work at the Hilo International Airport. Runway 8-26 will be closed nightly for airfield maintenance on Monday, Sept. 14 through Friday, Sept. 18, from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
