The Kohala Community Athletic Association, in conjunction with the County Department of Parks and Recreation, is hosting the grand re-opening ceremony of the Hisaoka Gym in North Kohala at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 29. Following opening remarks and blessing by Ilima Moiha, Hawaii County Mayor Billy Kenoi will untie the maile lei. The event also will include local music and entertainment, food booths, athletic exhibits and a basketball clinic with the University of Hawaii at Hilo Vulcans from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
