Fire destroys part of historic Humuula Sheep Station Friday (July 4)

Fire units responded to a 1:03 a.m. alarm Friday (July 4) to the Humuula Sheep Station off Mauna Kea Access Road for a fire. Crews arrived to find Pohakuloa Training Area firefighters on the scene with the fire under control. Two historic wood cabins were destroyed and one quonset hut was 50 percent damaged.
