Hawaii Volcanoes National Park campgrounds and backcountry reopen as Hilda dissipates

Hilda continues to gradually weaken while moving west...

At 1100 am HST the center of Tropical Depression Hilda was located near latitude 14.1 north...longitude 155.0 west  or about 385 miles south of Hilo, Hawaii.
 
The depression is moving toward the west near 13 mph...and this  general motion is expected to continue over the next two days.
