Due to strong winds, the Waimea Transfer Station will be closed today at 9:30 a.m. to ensure public and employee safety. Weather conditions at other transfer stations are currently being assessed to determine whether more closings will occur. The Waimea Transfer Station is scheduled to reopen on Thursday if weather conditions improve.
