In order to minimize the spread of invasive species such as insects, weeds, and diseases, the mulch at the East Hawai’i Organics Facility in Hilo undergoes an enhancement process.

EKO will be conducting water system repairs at the County’s Kona Green Waste Mulching Facility located at the Kealakehe Recycling & Solid Waste Transfer Station. In order to protect the safety of the public and complete the repairs in a timely manner, the facility will be closed on Friday, February 26, 2010.
