UH-Hilo dropped the opening game of a Saturday (March 27) double header against Grand Canyon University 4-8 but came back in the second winning 8-5. Vulcan pitcher Aaron Correa went the distance in the second game striking out four and walking two. Boxscores from the games in Phoenix, Arizona.

The University of Hawaii at Hilo split today’s Pacific West Conference doubleheader with Grand Canyon University at Brazell Stadium in Phoenix, Ariz. The Vulcans (6-17 overall, 2-12 PacWest) fell 5-0 in the first game then came back to beat the Antelopes (19-16, 10-8) in the nightcap 7-4.

Today’s Pacific West Conference doubleheader between the University of Hawaii at Hilo and Grand Canyon University has been rained out. Due to the rain out, 3 p.m. doubleheaders will be played on Monday and Tuesday, March 1 and 2 at Wong Stadium.

It was one of those nights when you know things aren’t right and you struggle through it as the University of Hawaii at Hilo dropped a 67-61 Pacific West Conference game to Grand Canyon University in the UHH gymnasium.
