WHEA battles in Hawaii robotics finals; Kealakehe, Kohala headed for Missouri Championships

Kealakehe High School’s team competing in the 2012 FIRST in Hawaii Regional Robotics Competition in Honolulu. West Hawaii Explorations Academy made it to the finals partnered with McKinley and Punahou. Kealakehe and Kohala High Schools will be going to St. Louis, Missouri in April for the FIRST Championship.

Waiakea High School wins Creativity Award at robotics competition on Oahu

After an intense day of qualifying rounds, the pits are closed and teams are preparing themselves for the final day of competition tomorrow. Over 1,000 high school students from Hawaii, Louisiana, and Taiwan gathered in the University of Hawaii at Manoa’s Stan Sheriff Center for the 5th Annual FIRST in Hawaii Regional Robotics competition.
