Tropical Storm Fernanda continues to weaken and is expected to become a tropical depression by tonight.

The Central Pacific Hurricane Center reports that Fernanda is now a remnant low system. At 5 p.m. HST the remnant low, which was Fernanda, was located about 615 miles East-Southeast of South Point Hawaii.

As of 11 p.m. HST the center of Tropical Storm Fernanda was located 1,115 mile East-Southeast of South Point, Hawaii. Maximum sustained winds have increased to 65 mph with higher gusts. Tropical storm force winds extend outward of up to 80 miles from the center.
