A 24-year-old Kailua-Kona woman and a 26-year-old California man were arrested for drug offenses Monday (April 12).

Following a traffic stop at 10 a.m. on Route 190 near the Waikoloa junction, investigators from the Area II Vice Section served a search warrant on the sedan the pair occupied. Police recovered 11 grams of crystal methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe containing marijuana.

Hawai'i Police Department officers arrested and charged a 35-year-old California man with methamphetamine trafficking on Monday (September 15).

Kauiokuualoha Hirakawa of La Mesa, California, was arrested after Hilo vice officers served a search warrant at his hotel room on Banyan Drive and recovered four ounces of crystal methamphetamine, or "ice." The drugs have a wholesale value of approximately $16,000 in Hawai'i.
