The 2011 Kona Music festival will be held on April 2nd on the luau grounds of the Outrigger Keauhou Beach Resort. Originally created in 2010 as the Kona Jazz Festival, the updated name reflects the Kona Music Festival’s progression. Last year’s sold-out event was held at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. Headlining the show this year is Baltimore based Blues recording artist the Deanna Bogart Band (Blind Pig Records), along with returning blues/rock guitarist, the Colin John Band and the jazzy Maggie Herron Group.
